Da'vonne left the game because she played all the wrong cards at the wrong time. At the beginning of last week, I wanted her to stay over Kevin and I was vocal about it. I told multiple people why Kevin was dangerous and why Day would continue to be a threat in the game and act as a shield for other players. I also told Day she should shut her mouth and let me do the work ... advice which she obviously ignored. I was gone for like half a day and come online to people telling me how hard she was campaigning, how she was throwing people under the bus and making up all these lies about Kevin.
I mean, whatever. I wasn't about to try and turn it around at that point - I'm not sticking my neck out for someone who can't follow simple instructions. The "alliance" with Day was never super solid to begin with, the dead silence in that group chat should have made that clear. But she's an obnoxious person and what happens to obnoxious people? They alienate themselves!!! So I was like, okay, I can work with this girl, she's obviously alone in the game and won't betray me any time soon.
Boy was I in for a surprise ... working with Da'Vonne is freaking hard. All of her ideas are god awful, right in the toilet with her social game, and every second message she sends to you is accompanied by some random gif or image of Kalia shaving in the bathtub.
I also don't understand why she was so obsessed with making a big move and "flipping the house".
What's there to even flip?!
Big moves are fine. It feels great to make them. I get it. But there's also something called "big move for no goddamn reason" and that's 100% Da'Vonne Rogers.

With Kevin still in the game, I needed to position myself closer to him. It's great that he was placed on my team because he can't nominate me but this twist is only going to last for so long - we've almost reached jury. Being on Kevin's good side is smart for a number of reasons, the biggest one being that he's closed off from so many people. He was nominated last week and was the only clear and official target going into this week. People on the outs want a way in and if he's willing to work with me, I'll give him that.
We talked for a little while, mostly about Day and her antics, and then I went in for the kill - I mentioned to him that the reason why I was so quiet in the group chat was because I was uncomfortable with Da'Vonne. I did this because I wanted to prompt Kevin to say more. I wanted him to talk about that group, feel him out and maybe get him to say whether or not that deal was still solid. He ended up agreeing with my initial statement, saying he felt the same way. And then he delivered the gold by saying he was still interested in working with me, but only me, because he didn't have a connection with Caleb.
Having him tell me that was perfect. Exactly what I wanted to hear.
And then Kevin won HoH.
One of the things I love about Big Brother is that you need to adapt. You can't get comfortable and just stick with the same set of people because things change so quickly. I went from being vocal about Kevin's eviction to solidifying a deal with him. At this point? Targeting Kevin isn't in my best interests at all. He might not have a lot of connections, but he has one with me, and that's going to be very valuable going forward. I need to think about double evictions, I need to think about the remaining members of Venus possibly grouping together. I need to think about getting to the end.

The reasons to get rid of Rachel outweigh the reasons not to. It's a bit sad because I would have loved to play the game with her, work with her, completely DOMINATE with her. She has personality in the group chat and on the forum but I never get to see that anywhere else. Her social game was pretty nonexistent and even now, with her ass on the line, she still isn't reaching out. Sure, she can post a speech on the board but what about approaching people individually? What about coming to me, asking for my vote, telling me how we could turn this game around?
It's not even just her. The majority of the pre-jury just kind of flopped over when they got a whiff of their eviction. The people in this game are getting lazy and it's really annoying.
Anyway, let's break down the vote.
I don't have any deals with Rachel. That's probably the biggest reason why she needs to go. She's also a member of the original Venus team and I know she's closest to the houseguests who were in that group. If we keep Rachel in the house, there's the possibility of the four of them teaming up later down the road, if they haven't already. That's four votes in every eviction. It wouldn't take very long for Venus to overwhelm the game.
I've been close with Nick from the start, so voting him out would be pretty stupid. I know he's tight with Victoria but according to Jace, people have caught onto that and I think their time is coming soon. Might as well get Rachel out this week and let them fall soon after. Despite being social in the beginning of the game, Nick's kinda lost his spark and I don't think he has that many connections. The versus Head of Household competition revealed a lot about our cast and one of the things I took away from it was that Nick isn't as high on the popularity poll as I had thought. This makes me want to keep him even more because if he's threatened, he'll cling to me.
