It's about time I settled down and did another DR session. There's a few reason I didn't do one for Round 3, but the simple one is that it was a fucking easy ass vote, and I was crazy busy. Nobody wanted Jessie to stay, he hadn't endeared himself to anyone (or really tried to talk to anyone) so it was an easy vote. I honestly didn't even talk to anyone but my alliance about it. It was just...assumed. Like a done deal. So that's that.
Anyways, I actually really wanted to win HoH this week. If I could have gotten Rachel out this week I'd have been golden, she's the one person I have ABSOLUTELY nothing with. So heading into HoH I was pumped. But of course I get picked to be the first player in the eliminator competition which is a death knell because no matter what happens, whichever two competitors you pick to play after you the new winner will choose you, especially in early rounds. So I was doomed. As soon as I was picked I decided to throw it because it was such an uphill battle, but Renny got the answer wrong and I ended up winning. I chose Rachel & Angie to replace me and Rachel OF COURSE wins and I then lose out to Nick. Yay. It's all good, at the end of the day as long as Rachel didn't win I felt good with my chances....so maybe next week.
So Casey ended up winning and I was feeling....pretty mixed about it. I DIDN'T think that Casey would nominate me, but at the same time I didn't really know where his head was at. So it wasn't a guarantee. Da'Vonne and Kevin were making themselves giant targets tbqh, her with her excessive OTT-ness, and him by being somehow both shady AND nowhere to be found. So I felt like they were the obvious targets, considering the other two potential nominees (Angie and Rachel) were nowhere to be found. Everyone wanted those two up, so that happened. I'm hoping that Kevin gets evicted this week, he's not really adding much to my game or the game in general really. But we'll see.
On a final note before my ~new~ cast assessment, I got a challenge advantage from Planet X!!! I don't really care about it to be quite honest. I kinda want to win without it? I'll save it for a veto comp, unless my 3 weeks runs out in which I'll use it for that final HoH. So, it's a good thing in the end. ALSO, I think I'm just about the only person who hasn't played in a veto comp and I really want to--if only because they all look really fun? Da'Vonne has played in every one! Ugh.
Alright, I decided to do another cast assessment, this time in ranking form--from the person I trust most to person I trust least. Let's do it.
1. Steve Moses -- OH, Stevey. I really trust this guy, but sometimes he makes it hard? It's just that he's SO SO in character that sometimes he does things that sketch me out. BUT overall, I really trust him and those moments are admittedly few and far between. We have nice, long talks about the various players in the game, we comfort one another when we are nervous (I was nervous when Caleb won, him after Casey won), and I genuinely think we share a lot more with each other than we do with anyone else in the game. He's the only peson in my alliance that I developed a real game bond with BEFORE our alliance came to be, so he's my guy for now. I like and trust Steve a lot, despite and including his little quirks. Tonight though he was being REALLLLY weird? First he went off on weird tangent about how sometimes people in ORGs play multiple characters and ruin a season that way. I kept asking if he was hinting at something and he said he didn't (maybe look into this? idk, it was freaking bizarre). THEN he said he was going to bed at like 9:00 "our" time and I was like "isn't it early?" and he implied that it was late which....he told me he was West Coast so I got confused. And lastly, he said good night a few times but then twenty minutes later just posted "I'm sleeping now". So.....I think he was drunk? lmfao. Anyways, he's adorable and quirky and I love him overall. He just had an off night tonight?
2. Jace -- Ok so the showmance with Steve has pretty much stopped completely but BOY has the showmance with Jace just completely heated up. We are legit in a full on showmance. Like literally we talk about cuddling and have a combined showmance name (#TeamJay) and everything. I don't know how it happened, but we kind of spent half of our conversations flirting with one another. Like, our last convo ended with him inviting me to take a shower with him......lmao. I don't know how I feel about it. On one hand, it's kind fun to flirt (NOT something I do in games EVER), and in the other it feels like a weird mechanism to get me to trust him? Idk, it's weird all around. Still, I really do trust Jace at the end of the day, and find him really fun to talk to even when not flirting. However, he is someone with LOTS of connections (everyone loves him), so I kind of have to have one eye open. I don't think he'd come for me soon, but I think he could possibly have other alliances brewing. Hopefully our alliance is #1, and the showmance shit isn't just a diversion tactic to get me close to him. I'm keeping an eye on him. Sorry boo!
3. britney -- I like Britney A LOT, she's probably the person I feel most comfortable talking with. She's super sharp, super witty, and just a breeze to talk with. Lots of good, caustic humor and frank discussions on how much other people annoy us. But at the same time, in a weird way she reminds me of someone in another game I played with who I really really liked but it turned out she fucking hated me for whatever reason (I think it was "he's boring"). It's just little comments, and probably just paranoia but I get that vibe every once in awhile. Also, she's another person with tons of connections so I have to keep my eye on her. Steve & I recognize that we need to keep a close watch on Jace & Britney--they are super well connected and beloved.
4. renny -- Up until a few hours ago, Renny would have been a few spots lower. But she actually recently approached me and we chatted about sort of watching one another's backs, and on top of that she mentioned liking Steve and even pulling him in as third person. So that's a good sign! I'd been hearing about all these connections that my fellow alliance mates have (specifically Jace & Britney-- who seem to have Casey, Angie, and Caleb in their back pockets), so I think it'll be good for Steve & I to scoop up someone else. So tomorrow my goal is to finalize that alliance as a real thing. So that's a good sign! Also, in general I've always liked Renny. She's not someone who speaks up a whole lot, but she's succinct and funny. So I'm glad about tonight's developments.
5. Casey Turner -- Pretty much from #5 down, there's not a WHOLE lot of trust I have in any of these people, just a basic amount. Which brings me to Casey. He's a very chill guy, with a great sense of humor. He's not the best conversationalist, but he has good days and bad days. When he won HoH I was mixed, but after talking it out with him I felt good about our relationship. And apparently he said something to Steve (or Jace?) about liking me, so I feel ok about him for the short term. He's a cool dude, and not someone I'll be targeting anytime soon. But the fact that he won this challenge means he could have a lot of connections, and become a threat down the road.
6. Nick Uhas -- I like Nick a lot, he's a very cool guy. He's around A LOT, seems to always be logged on and responding, so I feel like he's the MVP as far as social players go. We've basically told each other that we are each good with each other if we win HoH, so I feel good about him if he wins HoH. However, I feel like if anyone out there is lurking with an alliance in the wins, Nick will be a part of it. He's Mr. Popular around here. It should be noted that Steve wants him out and is wary of him. I'm not sure why beyond he's well connected?
7. Da'Vonne Rogers -- Yeah, Da'Vonne is somehow my #7. It's not because I particularly LIKE her (she's ok one on one....half the time), but because I feel like SHE feels she can control me. Which is a good thing to have. Also, she's very much about Team Neptune which is bizarre to me because like...nobody else gives a shit about teams? Except maybe like Rachel lol. It's all weird. That said, when she is in one of her annoying moods she basically monologues at me while I say "yeah" "uh oh" "wow" "cool". She literally describes an ENTIRE PLAY to me the other night. I said nothing back. It was weird. She'll probably stay this week as long as Kevin doesn't win veto, so hopefully she recognizes that and calms the fuck down.
8. Victoria Rafaeli -- Victoria has gotten really....odd lately. She's still someone that I mildly enjoy talking with when I catch her, but she's been a bit distant and often takes a looooong time to respond these days. I'm not sure if it's a lack of motivation on her part or just complacency, but I've drifted from her a bit. We still talk some basic strategy but nothing in depth, and I feel like she has moved on to greener grasses as far as alliances/building trust goes. So, eh.
9. caleb -- I don't know about Caleb. He's the unicorn of this game. I got to speak with him for literally four seconds when he won HoH, but that's about it. I don't understand how people like him in this game, considering he never fucking talks. Like ever. But the fact that he didn't nominate me places him here for me.
10. angie -- Vanilla. Gosh is Angie just there. She's fine when talking, but she's very infrequently around and not exactly riveting conversation. She also speaks like a total tomboy, in a slightly annoying way? Idk, it's all weird. She's high on my kill list, because otherwise she'll stick around FOREVER.
11. Kevin Campbell -- He's on his way out the door unless he wins veto. Apparently a lot of people hate him, which is fascinating to me. He's stirred up shit with Day & Steve by ratting out some of what each other have said to each other. But mostly for me he's just.....inactive?
12. Rachel Reilly -- She's gotta go. The girl has literally never once tried to converse with me. These freaking Venus HoH wins are saving her. I want to win and take her out.
Alright, I need to wrap this up I'm falling asleep. My strategy going forward: continue to talk with people. Win HoH and take Rachel out (easy eviction, little blood), and if not look week and alone to everyone not in my alliance. I'm pretty innocuous so far (even the hosts forgot about me), and I'd like to keep floating along for as long as I can. ALSO: get picked for a veto!!!!
