So. Week one comes to a close, and Alison quits the game. And Laura quits the game. Which leaves us with a damn Angie Swindell. Which means this is one more damn person I need to worry about in the game, and someone I need to talk to. Ugh.
Then the HOH competition is revealed, and I'm thinking, no no no, let's not compete for HOH. Let me get the golden key so I can relax, give me that golden key, so I can be safe. Sure, those are great things and I won't be complainin' when I get it. But what's more attractive to me is the fact I get to sit out of the HOH, because I won't need to shoot anybody, I won't need to do anything thats gonna give people a reason to target me. So it's all good, I figured that if I'm quiet about wanting the key, someone else is gonna barge in and take it from me, and we not about to have that happen, so I took the bull by the horns, made a group chat and flat out said I want the key, if anyone has any objections then let me know. Kevin agreed, and I'm sure Steve and Jason will.
Hopefully no Neptune wins so that the golden key move is worthwhile, and it gives me safety on a week where i wouldn't otherwise be safe.

So, here's me thinkin' everything is gonna be all rosy in the garden with the damn golden key situation. I'm thinking actually ASKING my team is just a formality because surely nobody is gonna challenge me on it, but I was wrong. Much to my surprise, Steve starts chatting sayin' he can't make the competition either, and I'm like, well I ain't letting this shit go because I came this FAR, I'MMA TAKE THE FREE WEEK. So I'm all like, there's no way in HELL I can make it, and Steve clearly didn't wanna make a spectacle, so he let me have it. Now all of a sudden, Steve is gonna "try his hardest to be here" and he will "definitely make it". And I'm just thinking shade. Damn shade. CLEARLY his mess ass was never gonna struggle to make it in the first place, Steve just wanted the damn golden key, Steve just wants to play a sly little, sneaky little under the radar game. But that's my bag, boo... But now, I really am questioning Steve's loyalty. I'm not sure why in the hell he would do that. So I'm definitely keeping my options open with regards to further alliances. All I have right now is my Neptune alliance with Kevin, Steve and Jason - I need to branch out and get some new people because I'm not 100% on Steve, and I'm not gonna wait to do something about it and then it's gonna be too late. I'm getting on my plan B, asap.

So the competition begins, and who the hell is there about 10 minutes early, is good ol' Steve, the shady little monster himself. And I'm thinking about strategies to help them win this competition, so I suggest for them to sign out and I'll keep look out. If people see them signed out, they could try and shoot them. In which case, I tell them on our AIM chat, they log in, reflect them and get them out. Seems like a pretty damn effective plan. TOO damn effective. I totally forgot that I DON'T want a neptune to win this HOH. I need for them to lose, so that I have the golden key on a week that I wouldn't otherwise be safe. BUT oh well, what's done is done and there's nothing I can do about it, if we win, we win. But of course, Renny takes the bait and shoots Kevin, he logs in and gets her out. And I'm thinking Renny sure seems to have something against us, giving us a nominee with her mutiny, now tryna get him out. SO I discuss with her, and I'm coming to the point that I'M thinking, if this girl really does have something against us, I'd better make something quick to change that. SO my big mouth blurts out the possibility of a cross-team deal between Saturn and Neptune. And IMMEDIATELY I'm eating my words 'cause I totally slipped by not consulting my team members firstly. So they just gonna need to AGREE. So I bring it up in the chat. Kevin's fine. Jason is fine either way. But yup, you guessed it, DAMN STEVE wants to throw a spanner in the works AGAIN. He tells me that he doesn't want to be stuck to one team... And I'm just like...
IS THERE A REASON WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO DAMN DIFFICULT, STEVE? AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?
So of course, I need to get STEVE CONVINCED that Saturn is the best way to go, so I'm sayin' Nick is smart, we don't want him AGAINST us, Jessie is good at comps, we don't want him AGAINST us, and Renny/Victoria are very social, so we don't want them against us. And finally the penny drops. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but I feel like I have the teams backing - just need to consolidate it with Renny. But if Steve didn't annoy me before, he's sure as hell annoying me now. Seriously. Just do what the damn hell you're told and don't ask questions, and everything will work out just fine.

So, I spoke to Renny and went over things today. We basically solidified the cross-team deal, on a temporary basis. We both felt that it's not sustainable long-term so it's gonna work for us for now. So Neptune keeps Saturn safe, and vice-versa. The next order of business is worrying about Jace's nominations (which he's been keeping very tight-lipped about) I did try to pry some information out of him, but there's only so much you can do. I guess the guy wants it to be a mystery. So yeah, I know I can't be nominated but whoever does go up will directly affect my game, because if it's Neptune's, then I need to make sure their safe, and now I need to also do the same for Saturn..
So nominations are posted right at the deadline, and honestly, I'm not too surprised. I've heard stuff about Jen failing to engage with people on a social level, and social ability is a huge part of the game. You can't just ignore it and be like, I'm a good strategist so let me not talk for this round.. Like no boo, that's not how it works. Everything works pack and parcel with social game, it really is at the centre of everything you do in Big Brother, sure, you might be a strategic mastermind, but without your army, you ain't gonna get hella far. The other nominee is Renny, which is annoying because she's a Saturn and I just promised her safety. And of course, I'm picked for the veto competition. So if I win it, then I'm gonna need to save her. But in doing so, I feel like a Neptune would go up, simply because I think Jace would take offence. Sure it would be a great move to solidify trust with team Saturn, but I'm not sure I feel comfortable doing it if it's gonna risk my own teams' game. So do I throw it, do I win it? Throwing is totally and fundamentally just against me as a person, so I'm probably gonna try. Whether it'll be enough for me to win, is yet to be seen. I guess we'll soon find out, and if I do win the veto, I guess we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

Now, with week 2 drawing to a close. It's definitely time for me to start thinking about my game, I spoke with Kevin last night about how I'm eager to break out of this whole "team" box. I feel like it's limiting everyone's game to a degree, and in an effort to plan ahead. I want to make a solid alliance. I'm not talking about cross-team deals or anything. I JUST need to be covered in all eventualities, basically. And Kevin agreed. So currently I have the whole Neptune/Saturn thing, which is great. But after talking to Kevin for a bit, I've managed to solidify us in an alliance with Britney and Caleb. The beauty of this is that I made it under the premise of targeting Venus, because they are too threatening and will end up overpowering everyone if they keep on winning. So I should be safe, literally in every situation except a Venus winning, in which case I just need to use my charm. Because my alliance with Kevin, Britney and Caleb is gonna be my longterm thing. With a short-term goal of targeting Venus. So if I win HOH, they won't be pressuring me to put up a Saturn, for example. Which means my cross-team deal with them won't be jeopardised. I'm going to make an alliance/deals tracker which I'll update.
